Locations: The Berryman Adventure will be Headquartered at
Bass' River Resort, near Steeville, Missouri. To view or print directions to Bass' River
Resort, either visit the Driving Directions page of their website
or use the following address: 204 Butts Road, Steelville, MO 65565. This is where teams will check-in for the race, and also where the
pre-race meeting and pre-race meal will be held on Friday evening. If you would like to stay in one of their 30+ cabins at their resort, you should reserve
well in advance!
Dates and Times: The Berryman Adventure will take place the weekend of September
23 - 25, 2011. The start time for both the 12-Hour and the 36-Hour courses will be announced at the pre-race meeting. Racer check-in
will start at 3PM and will remain open until 7PM on Friday. The pre-race meeting will start at 7:30PM sharp on Friday evening, and this
is when racers will receive the official start time of the race, course details and maps, and all other information about the race and
course.
36-Hour Course: The 2011 Berryman Adventure 36-Hour course will again be challenging
and will require teams to train hard in order to complete the course. Teams must come well prepared! With that said, teams that complete the
36-Hour course will be rewarded with the accomplishment of finishing a race known as "a real ass kicker" and will be rewarded with an outstanding
wilderness adventure. Racers will enjoy racing in deep backwoods forests and will be on miles of fantastic singletrack! You can expect to paddle
some of the clearest streams in the country. Racers should come prepared to complete 40 - 60 miles of mountain biking (on gravel roads, jeep roads
and single track), 20 - 40 miles of running, trekking and bushwhacking and 20 - 30 miles of paddling! Only about 1% (if that) of this race will
take place on pavement. The entire course will be navigation based, and teams should be EXTREMELY proficient with using a map and compass in order
to find their way through the course.
36-Hour Team Divisions:
4 Person (male, female, co-ed)
2 Person (male, female, co-ed)
* Staying with the tradition and history of adventure racing, the 4-Person Co-ed division is the "Elite Division"
at the Berryman Adventure. They are the only teams that are eligible for the discounted entry certificates into future Bonk Hard Racing events.

12-Hour Course: 12-Hour racers will have a challenging course as well and should
take this race very seriously! You will need to come well-trained and well-prepared if you want to complete this race. Racers will enjoy
racing in deep backwoods forests and will be on miles of fantastic singletrack! You can expect to paddle some of the clearest streams in
the country. Racers should come prepared to complete 20 - 35 miles of mountain biking (on gravel roads, jeep roads and single track), 7 - 15
miles of running, trekking and bushwhacking and 5 - 15 miles of paddling. Only about 1% of this race will take place on pavement. The
entire course will be navigation based, and teams should be very proficient with using a map and compass in order to find their way through the
course. Expected winning time will be around 7 hours.
12-Hour Team Divisions:

Race Shirts: Instead of assuming that all racers would like a shirt
at the race, and including it in the entry fees, we are trying to keep entry fees low by allowing racers the option of choosing if
they would like this additional item. A shirt can be purchased during online registration for $15. Like always, Bonk Hard Racing will only be providing
very high-quality, customized wicking shirts (or fleece) at the Berryman Adventure. If you would like to purchase a shirt at the race, the cost will be $25, but it is not guaranteed
that we will have any extra shirts on race day.
Pre-race Meal: Same as with the shirts, we will not automatically include the pre-race meal in the price of the entry fees. The pre-race pasta meal on Friday evening will be at Bass' River Resort and will be held from 5 - 7:30PM. The cost of the meal will be
$8, and you will have to pay for the meal once you arrive at Bass' River Resort. We will not collect this money during online registration (like in the past). In order to get
an idea of how many racers will be eating the pre-race meal, we will ask you if you plan on eating the pre-race meal on registration. Bass' River Resort is offering the pre-race pasta meal to racers because there are very limited options for pasta (and carbs) in the area. The meal will include the following items:
Spaghetti with Meat Sauce
Spaghetti without meat sauce
A piece of baked chicken
Salad
Garlic Bread
Dessert
Soft Drinks / Tea

* Prizes will be awarded to the winning team in every division.

eligible for the discounted entry certificates.

Awards Ceremony: There will be an awards ceremony for both the 12-Hour and 36-Hour

Lodging: Bass' River Resort is
the place to be! Racers will check-in there, the pre-race meeting will be located there, and the race will start and finish at Bass'.
Bass' River Resort has over 30 cabins for you to choose from, but if you want to stay in a cabin at the race you better hurry, because they are
going to fill up VERY quickly! Certain cabins can sleep up to 8 people and / or 12 people, so please, if you can, share a cabin with other
teams! Other cabins will sleep up to 4 people. There are hundreds of campsites for you to choose from at Bass' River Resort. Teams will want
to stay in any of the 200 or 300 numbered campsites. Please call them at 800-392-3700 and reserve your cabin or campsite today. If all
cabins have been reserved, and you are dead-set on reserving a cabin for the race, the next closest
place is Huzzah Valley Resort, about 5 - 7 minutes away from Bass' River Resort.

Support Crew: The Berryman Adventure race WILL NOT require a
support crew! No support of any kind will be allowed for any team from non-racers. Friends and family (and all other spectators)
are more than welcome at the Berryman Adventure, and there will be ample opportunities for these people to watch your team during the race. If
they would like to be a part of the race, we are always looking for volunteers!
Volunteers: Come be a part of the Midwest's premier adventure race! Volunteering is an excellent way
to get the feel and experience of an adventure race if you are unsure if you would like to participate, or if you have friends or family racing.
Adventure racing would not be possible without the help of volunteers, and the Berryman Adventure is currently
looking for outdoor-minded volunteers that are willing to help with the race! All volunteers that can help for the duration
of the race (Friday evening through Sunday) will receive a certificate for 75% off any Bonk Hard Racing event (which can be used by anyone!),
a free race shirt, free pre-race pasta meal and food after the race! Plus an excellent time camping on the course!!
There will be a pre-race volunteer meeting after the racer's pre-race meeting on Friday evening, around 9PM. If you would like to be a volunteer
at the Berryman Adventure, please contact the race staff. We would really appreciate your help! Thanks!
